OUR CONSULTANTS
Glenn
Thompson
Glenn is managing partner of the company.
He has an extensive background in counselling, conflict
resolution and organizational development. With this experience, he has a
highly empathic and effective communication style that is very effective
in consulting regarding conflict issues in general and human rights
issues in particular.
Part of his work includes helping organizations to analyze
the underlying causes of organizational conflicts. He focuses both on organizational
systems as well as individual differences in trying to assess how these
elements are contributing to the maintenance of the conflict.
He has worked with clients such as Aventis Pasteur, CP
Rail Systems, Ford of Canada, General Motors, London Life, Molson
Breweries and both federal/provincial governments on issues related to
investigation, intervention strategies and alternate dispute resolution
methodologies.
Glenn has a Doctorate in Education (Organizational Development)
and a Master's Degree in Counselling.
He is also a trained mediator and a member of the Arbitration and
Mediation Institutes of Ontario and Canada. He teaches part-time at the University of Toronto.
Paul
Pearce
Paul is currently working as a part-time associate of Key
Learning Group Inc.
He has been involved for 25 years in the area of human
rights - as an activist, advocate, educator, consultant and
investigator. As a consultant,
Paul has helped scores of organizations address the issue of workplace
harassment and discrimination. He has trained human resource
professionals, union officials and managers to effectively deal with
incidents of harassment and discrimination. In conducting his own
investigations, Paul brings a supportive and direct communication style
that makes witnesses feel comfortable in their understanding of the
process and able to safely and positively offer their statements.
Because of his experience in conducting human rights
investigations, Paul has taught hundreds of staff in organizations how to
conduct these investigations including the3 three North American auto
companies, Imperial Oil, Electrical Safety Authority, the Canadian Auto
Workers’ Union and Sobey’s.
Besides many OPS Ministries, Paul has conducted human
rights and non-human rights investigations for clients including Canadian
Auto Workers’ Union, Fairmont
Hotels and Resorts, Manulife Insurance, Metro Toronto Convention Centre,
Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, St. Lawrence Seaway, and
numerous Children’s Aid Societies in Ontario.
Paul is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an
Honours B.A.
